Just recently i noticed a noise coming from the tranny, i think. I notice it the best when coming to a stop(less motor noise to block the sound). It almost sounds like their is a cricket under my hood. I sure it has something to do with the tranny b/c whenever i push in the clutch, the sound goes away. Anyway it is a repetitive sound. "Like" the sound a cricket makes.
Well i recently installed a cs clutch and a flywheel. I used both of the bearings supplied with the clutch. I know some of u recommend to use honda t/o bearings instead of the ones supplied. My question is could this be the cause? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Is the flywheel aluminum? It can make the gears in the transmission rattle. Just an idea.

how does an aluminum flywheel make your gears rattle?

It's Aluminum. Don't understand the gear part though. Please explain.

The aluminum will not absorb vibration like the steel one. Making it rattle the gears in the transmission. Kinda like motor mount inserts, put some in my car and turned the a/c on, then the dash almost fell in the floorboard.
Just an idea.
